i’ll be back (i hope)…

after taking a break from running and rowing to heal a foot injury i was set to get back into things last week. i ended up getting slammed with a bad cold/sinus infection that i’m now 8 days into. as of this morning i am finally starting to feel better and think i can see the end in sight. i’ve been fooled before so i wouldn’t bet money on it yet.

i’ve seen more improvement in my foot over the last week so at least something positive will come of it.

i hope to get in some good workouts over the next few days. my family and i will be on lake chelan for the holiday. i can do some easy running and cross training.

last, and most important, i think i will work on putting together a training plan for the nyc marathon. so far i’ve been working under the worst case scenario that i don’t have enough time to prepare. i’m brining my bible “jack daniels’ running formula” on vaca and am going to figure out a 16 week plan.

My sister, I have the exact same plan for my holiday. A very good friend of mine gave me the same bible (thanks). I will train through the 50 miler, how bizarre does that sound? The only thing I am not sure of are my goals until next years WS100. Maybe we can pow pow when you return.

I am glad to hear the foot is feeling better, slow and easy on your return!

I hope your training for NY is going great. My training has really picked up in the past two weeks as we only have 18 weeks left. I have switched to a different log that better suits my needs. I do appreciate the support my virtual training partners have given me and do miss it.
Good luck.
